The Frog is a rig I created during the summer for a Disney Research augmented reality project. Primarily swimming through the environment, the rig required a good amount of emphasis on the construction of the legs. The Frog's legs feature both FK and IK modes, in addition to having multiple options for animating the ankle. I made sure to also rig the individual toes to allow for greater animation detail.

The feet for this character were challenging in particular, but I ended up developing a reverse foot system that features a four-pose roll attribute in addition to individual pivot and banking attributes. The Frog's body rig also consists of FK/IK switching arms, as well as an FK/IK hybrid spine. Although simple, I built some facial joints to allow for jaw and eye gaze animation.

Lastly, a responsibility of mine was to make sure this rig worked properly within the Unity game engine. I ended up having to refrain from implementing certain deformation techniques and stretch features for this character to work for our production, but it performs at a quick and efficient speed as a result.
